La Lima
Master Plan (Plan Maestro)

In October 2008, Global Community Development (GCD) recommended to the Municipality of La Lima that a Master Plan project package be prepared to replace the two individual packages being prepared for Gracias a Dios and Jerusalen. A total of six neighborhoods located in the same region, including Gracias a Dios, San Fransisco (invasión), 22 de Mayo, Jerusalen, Guaymuras, San Cristóbal, and Santa Isabel are discharging raw sewage into open ditches on the sides of the streets, or discharging raw into the nearby stream. To develop a master plan design, a topographic study would have to be carried out on the remaining four neighborhoods and tied into the topographic studies that were done of Jerusalen and Gracias a Dios. An engineer would have to be assigned to manage the preparation of the design for the collection systems and the treatment plant. Currently, there is no project manager for this project.
